Funding

The Regional Council of Central Finland provides funding for projects that strengthen the economic development and wellbeing of the region. Among the sources at our disposal there are the region’s development fund, the national regional development fund and ERDFs.

The common objective is that the funds are directed towards activities in line with the Central Finland regional strategy and program.

We are doing our part to combat the effects of the coronavirus pandemic by directing our available funding to counter the harm it caused in order to recover from the crisis.

Applications to our development grants can be submitted by public organizations, foundations, associations and non-profit organizations.

In Central Finland, company-specific and joint development projects are funded by the Economic Development Center. The Economic Development Centre also grants funding for projects under the European Social Fund (ESF) and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD).

Before submitting an application, it is advisable to discuss with the responsible body to ensure that the project meets necessary requirements.
